Whether you’re a fan of J.R.R. Tolkien’s ‘Lord of the Rings’ trilogy, or not.. you’ve gotta appreciate it when someone comes along and creates a marvel quite like this. Patrick Acton is in the process of creating the City of Kings, ‘Minas Tirith’ out of nothing but matchsticks! My jaw dropped in awe when I saw the photo. So, for the second time this morning, Blizzard Entertainment launched an April Fools day offensive. After ‘launching’ their new Warcraft console game, they announced a new player class for their upcoming expansion pack, ‘Wrath of the Lich King‘. The ‘Bard’ was announced as a new player class that would call for some pretty ‘nifty’ keyboard usage. Blizzard also announced that they’ll be shipping out a guitar-based keyboard, because the interface of the bard class will look somewhat similar to that of ‘Guitar Hero’. Enjoy the photos!

This past weekend, I was on my way to Staten Island. When I got to the ferry terminal in Manhattan, I noticed a couple of NYPD officers making fun of a Pigeon that had been walking around them. Wondering why they were making fun of the poor little guy, I decided to take a closer look. When I did, I discovered that he wasn’t walking… he was hopping!

Bill Mitchell created yet another brilliant cartoon. This time, it’s current (and soon to be former in about half an hour) New York State Governor Elliot Spitzer. If you haven’t heard the new, he’s resigning in the midst of allegations of paying for the transportation of a prostitute to see him, and a bunch of other allegations. The cartoon that Bill draws up about the entire situation is brilliant, and I’d like to share it with all of you. Enjoy!

So, now that Spitzer is stepping down by March 17th, you’d think this is all over, right? No way! The American Media would never let that happen! It turns out, that Spitzer’s “call girl” has been identified as Ashley Alexandra Dupre. Was it completely necessary to ‘out’ the girl Spitzer was caught hiring via wiretap? No, I don’t think so. I actually feel terrible for all of the women involved in this whole ’saga. I feel terrible for Spitzer’s daughters, wife, and entire family. I also feel bad for Ms. Dupre for all of the negative exposure she’s getting.

*sigh*… Such is the American Media. Or, just Media, in general…

Spitzer for President!

I’m a registered Democrat, but I’m not a fan of Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton… yet. Neither candidate has given me that tingly “I want him/her to be president” feeling. But one thing I appreciate, is the amount of comedic imagery that comes out of elections like these. There’s bound to be photoshop gurus out there who love to create parody images of candidates, as well as just plain creative people who love to put together a good joke. I’ve found two photos that I want to share with all of you, that I think sum up just how funny election time can be. But remember, I’m not a fan of either candidate, so posting these photos is not tied to my own opinions at all. Although, I’d love to hear what you think about them. Enjoy!
